Local 276 was contacted by the Buffalo Area Labor Federation regarding a volunteer project in Buffalo. A resident at 152 Mulberry Street, was in need of a new front porch, as her current one was in a dire condition and was ready to collapse.

Local 276 Council Representative, Chris Stone, spearheaded the project making ‘working drawings’ for the building permit and material lists for the project. Brother Stone was assisted by Council Representative, Jeff Pasnik, along with Local 276 members, Courtney Kirbis, Don Madison, Mike Evans, Yolanda Soloman and Dave Penny.

Buffalo Area Labor Federation President, John Mudie, oversaw the project and arranged funding and donations through various local businesses and organizations. This project spanned over a couple of months and the Local 276 carpenters worked with other trades in the area that also assisted with this project. Ms. Anderson was very thankful to our carpenters for her new porch, ahead of Thanksgiving.
